The Network for the Next Decade
See why—and how—Juniper Mist AI delivers fundamentally better wireless outcomes.
For most of its existence, Wi-Fi connectivity was a settled technology. That is until Juniper Mist™ built its technology from the ground up to use AI. Watch for an in-depth examination of how Juniper Mist AI radically speeds deployment of Wi-Fi networks and smooths its operations. Don’t miss the quick demo that rounds out the video.

0:05 AI driven enterprise and how you can leverage AI to deliver fundamentally better experiences
0:12 in the network.
0:14 The network is evolving as business requirements change.
0:17 Wi Fi started in the retail vertical in the late 90s and then exploded into the enterprise.
0:24 When Intel delivered the Centrino chip that put Wi Fi in every laptop in roughly a five
0:31 year window after that happened, every wireless architecture in the market today, except for
0:36 mist was introduced.
0:39 And what's so interesting is all of that preceded the smartphone or modern cloud services.
0:46 And after that we live through a desert of innovation, where the only real engineering
0:50 that was happening was financial engineering, as companies were acquired and the market
0:55 consolidated.
0:57 And then an interesting thing happened in 2014, the team that built Cisco's controller
1:03 base wireless business and acquired Meraki the first cloud managed technology spun out
1:08 of Cisco, was funded by Google and Cisco investments to build the network for the next decade.
1:16 That company mist was acquired by Juniper in 2019.
1:21 And today, their vision of bringing AI to the network has become very real.
1:26 As Chad GPT is a part of all of our lives.
1:30 Let's take a second and see how AI can fundamentally change network operations.
1:37 So eight years ago, the company was founded today three of the four largest companies
1:44 in the world rely on Juniper for their wired and wireless networks.
1:49 And Juniper is not only a leader in the Magic Quadrant for wired and wireless networks,
1:54 but it's also the only networking company that's a leader for location services and
2:00 we'll talk about how we combine these two powerful capabilities in just a second.
2:06 So what do we do that's different?
2:09 At the heart of every company's digital transformation is the network.
2:14 Juniper helps our customers deploy networks faster.
2:17 At lower cost, and with fewer mistakes.
2:21 And I'm talking about companies that deploy as many as three to 4000 access points in
2:27 a single day.
2:30 Once the network is deployed, again, we leverage AI to improve the user experience and the
2:36 experience of the IT teams that operate these networks.
2:40 I'm not talking about a small change here.
2:43 I'm talking about fundamentally changing network operations, eliminating 80% of the trouble
2:49 tickets our customers get, and automating how we root cause and solve the problems when
2:55 they do occur.
2:57 And then I mentioned combining location services with network on activity to deliver better
3:03 business outcomes.
3:05 We actually can tell our customers how their real estate is being used.
3:10 Engage a customer in a retail store the way you wouldn't be on an E commerce platform.
3:16 help a student navigate a university campus.
3:20 powerful capabilities that come together in junipers, network architecture.
3:26 allow our customers to speak for just a second about their experiences.
3:31 As I said earlier, this is not a 5% improvement, or a 10% improvement.
3:36 This is a fundamental change.
3:39 The world's largest logistics company reduced the time to close a trouble ticket by 96%.
3:47 ServiceNow the world's largest automation company, the company that many enterprises
3:52 rely on to run their helpdesk saw more than 90% of their trouble tickets disappear.
3:59 And this is what we hear consistently from our customers.
4:03 It fundamentally improves network operation.
4:06 We understand user experiences in real time.
4:10 And we're able to solve problems with AI that earlier architectures cannot do.
4:16 What do we do that so fundamentally different?
4:19 There are five things and we'll show this to you in the demonstration in just a few
4:24 moments.
4:25 The first thing is this architecture was designed from the ground up to collect telemetry from
4:33 every client every minute, up to 150 states on every device, and all they have to have
4:42 is a Wi Fi chipset.
4:44 So we know if the signal strength is poor at the back of the lobby.
4:49 We know if someone entered their password wrong and couldn't authenticate on the network.
4:54 We know if your DHCP server went offline.
4:58 We don't need a user to open a ticket with it to start the process.
5:04 Once we see that something's wrong, we leverage AI in the cloud to do what a human being would
5:10 do.
5:11 If you could have a staff that stayed awake 24 hours a day, seven days a week and was
5:17 deployed next to every switch port and AP in your network with a sniffer.
5:22 That's exactly what we do.
5:25 AI can dynamically capture packets and do automated root cause analysis.
5:31 And if the problems in the network, actually autocorrect that's how we reduce trouble tickets
5:38 by 80 to 90%.
5:40 That's how we reduce meantime to resolve issues by 80 to 90%.
5:46 We've moved off the controller architecture, and we scale to the largest companies in the
5:53 world and we move to an enterprise grade cloud, a micro services architecture that's more
5:59 reliable, more resilient, and more available.
6:03 And lastly, we build location services into the network to make it easy to deploy and
6:09 leverage these capabilities and everything we do is exposed to you through open API's.
6:18 For 20 years, we've talked about the single pane of glass as the holy grail of networking.
6:25 We need to go beyond that.
6:27 Today we've combined wired, wireless, SD, Wan and NAC all under a single pane of glass.
6:36 But it's much more than that.
6:38 It's about going beyond single pane of glass and leveraging AI to deliver insights to actually
6:44 tell you what you need to know that's happening in your network.
6:48 In real time with no false positives.
6:51 We can tell you you have a bad Ethernet cable.
6:54 We can tell you that somebody couldn't connect because of a DHCP server.
6:59 We can tell you that even though the switches up the AP is up.
7:03 There's a VLAN missing on that port.
7:06 real insights in real time that serve up exactly what you need to know.
7:12 And if you want more information.
7:14 There's a conversational interface you can leverage.
7:17 Tell me who's unhappy in my network.
7:20 Tell me why the CEO had a bad zoom call last week.
7:24 all of that at your fingertips, much more than a single pane of glass.
7:31 We enable it to be proactive.
7:33 If somebody in your network is having an experience like you see on the screen.
7:38 How do you know with juniper mist You'll know in real time that a user's having a bad experience
7:44 without waiting for them to open a trouble ticket, and then you can use our conversational
7:49 system to ask AI to pinpoint exactly where in the network, the problem occurred, fundamentally
7:57 better outcomes for businesses, the IT teams, and the me.
