0:07 my name is Sally Bayman and I am vice
0:10 president of cloud and service provider
0:12 marketing at Juniper Networks and I am
0:14 back again to give you my top three
0:18 favorite predictions for this year for
0:22 2023
0:23 and let's start with number one and this
0:25 one might be obvious but we will see
0:27 sustainability catapult to one of the
0:31 top care abouts for service providers
0:34 around the world it will be a key factor
0:37 in how they deliver their products and
0:40 services to their customers but also a
0:42 key factor in how they operate their
0:44 networks and their businesses
0:47 will see an increase in some of the
0:49 sustainability targets largely driven by
0:52 regulatory bodies and there'll be an
0:55 absolute focus on energy efficiencies
0:58 obviously driven a lot by the massive
1:01 increase in energy costs but also in
1:04 system longevity and that's all about
1:06 reducing E-Waste and the industry will
1:09 be starting to talk a lot more about
1:11 green networking and design for
1:15 sustainability
1:16 so number two and I talked a little bit
1:19 about this last year but number two is
1:22 all about Metro access and aggregation
1:26 and this year 2023 will see an
1:29 acceleration of their much needed
1:32 modernization driven by the continued
1:35 growth in 5G and Edge Cloud hosting
1:40 emerging as a whole new industry
1:42 category called Cloud Metro we'll see
1:46 networks being built with new
1:48 operational system and Architectural
1:51 attributes that will be very very
1:54 different from the past and these
1:57 attributes will be focused on dealing
1:59 with scale to support the massive
2:01 increase in traffic in the Metro they'll
2:04 be focused on cloud agility to deliver
2:07 or increase time to service
2:09 and they will be focused on delivering a
2:13 high quality and secure experience for
2:16 Network operators to actually meet
2:18 heightened user expectations
2:21 and then thirdly the need to
2:25 fundamentally change how Network
2:27 automation is deployed and how it is
2:31 consumed will really start to take shape
2:34 in 2023
2:36 we'll see automation transition from
2:38 on-premise
2:39 to Cloud delivered as a service models
2:44 centered around AI Ops and these new
2:47 models will allow operators to achieve
2:50 business outcomes that focus on uh
2:53 faster time to productivity and new
2:55 service value and also a reduction in
2:59 operational costs as well as
3:01 complexities and we'll start seeing
3:03 these new models start to deploy
3:05 initially in areas like Metro access and
3:09 aggregation
3:11 so those are my top three favorite
3:13 predictions for 2023 and I want to wish
3:17 all of you a happy New Year thank you
