EX9250 Line of Ethernet Switches

The EX9250 line of Ethernet switches provides compact, programmable, and scalable core and aggregation devices for enterprise environments, reducing cost and complexity while offering carrier-class reliability.

EX9250 switches empower organizations to deploy an evolved enterprise core, supporting Layer 2 or Layer 3 applications by combining Ethernet VPN (EVPN) and Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) technologies. Using these open technologies allows enterprises to create a coherent, end-to-end network across geographically dispersed locations while leveraging unified policies to segment traffic.

Features + Benefits

Compact Form Factor

Shallow depth 1 U and 3 U form factors are ideal for space-constrained enterprise campus closet environments.

End-to-end network segmentation goes from campus to data center with open Ethernet VPN (EVPN) technology.

EVPN-VXLAN allows the creation of an evolved core without having to replace the rest of the core infrastructure.

Switches are connected as an IP fabric with an EVPN-VXLAN overlay. The IP fabric can extend to connect multiple enterprise buildings, while VXLAN allows stretching L2 across the network.

EVPN uses control plane-based learning to ensure efficient network utilization and natively supports active/active multihoming.

Support for IEEE 802.1ae (MACsec AES256) for link-layer data confidentiality, data integrity, and data origin authentication.

The EX9253-12C8Q-M line card supports IEEE 802.1ae MACsec with AES-256 bit encryption, ensuring link-layer data confidentiality, data integrity, and data origin authentication.

Field-proven Juniper technology—including high-performance ASICs, a cloud-grade architecture, and Junos OS—enables EX Series Ethernet Switches to provide always-on reliability for every application.

The EX9250 line of Ethernet switches provides compact, programmable, and scalable core and aggregation devices for enterprise environments, reducing cost and complexity while offering carrier-class reliability.
