NetActuate operates one of the world’s largest networks by number of peers, with its BGP anycast platform handling more than 25 billion transactions per day. The company provides enterprises with private cloud, colocation, bare-metal, and virtual machine (VM) offerings, with expertly delivered, bespoke solutions and customized services.
Rising demand for hybrid cloud, anycast inferencing, and GPU-as-a-service is driving rapid growth. To meet customer needs, NetActuate needed to build out its global infrastructure from 38 to 45 points of presence (POPs) worldwide in just 12 months.
“Juniper provides us with an intuitive path to bridge the gap between traditional networking and software engineering—delivering high performance, capability, and ease of use,” said Kate Gerry, Director of Interconnection at NetActuate. “We have now integrated Juniper products into a growing suite of internal network management tooling and use them to power many of our external service offerings.”

Juniper portfolio delivers capacity, agility, and operational consistency
NetActuate relies on Juniper routing and switching platforms for its edge network, data center interconnect, and data center fabric.
Space- and power-optimized Juniper routers deliver high-throughput, highly resilient connectivity for NetActuate’s edge network and data center interconnection. In its data centers, Juniper QFX switches are used for the network fabric and top-of-rack. Juniper EX switches are also used for access switching.
The advanced capabilities of Juniper’s Junos OS operating system enable NetActuate to offer a variety of services across its global edge infrastructure, including cloud VMs, baremetal servers and high-density colocation; networking services like BGP anycast; IP transit; and internet exchange access.
“In addition to performance, value, and cost, a large reason why we are exclusively Juniper is the operating system,” said Gerry. “Consistently using Junos OS allows us to keep a common configuration language and avoid the costs of supporting additional configuration between families.”

Scale AI and infrastructure while automating operations
NetActuate’s network is made up of 45 POPs in every major global market across North America, South America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia and Oceania.
Expand globally to meet customer demand
With a scalable, operationally efficient Juniper network, NetActuate launched AI compute services and edge connectivity from its Seattle location and expanded its global hub in New York. It also launched in Dublin, Ireland and expanded its service capacity in Africa.
Help customers fuel AI innovation
With a high-performance, low-latency Juniper network, NetActuate is ready for the unpredictable and heavy-duty traffic of its customers’ AI training and inference. It can automate and scale customers’ AI deployments, deploy and run inference models at the edge, and offer GPU-as-a-service.
Automation-first operations drive efficiency
Automation is essential for NetActuate’s efficient operations and customer agility, and it offers customers full Terraform and API support for infrastructure provisioning. NetActuate’s automation-first philosophy aligns with Juniper’s open, API-driven approach, enabling the NetActuate team to move faster when onboarding new customers.
