When recertifying by taking an exam, please note the following guidelines:

Pass any associate-level exam |
Pass a specialist-level exam in any track in which an active associate-level certification is held |

Specialist (JNCIS) |
Pass the specialist-level exam in the same track |
Pass the professional-level exam in the same track. (Earning the JNCIP-DC certification will also recertify the JNCIS-ENT certification.) |

Professional (JNCIP) |
Pass the professional-level exam in the same track |
Pass the expert-level exam in the same track |

Concurrent Recertifications
When recertifying through testing, you can sometimes extend the expiration date for multiple certifications at once. When you pass an exam, Juniper recertifies the corresponding certification and all lower-level certifications within the same track, and all active Associate-level certifications.
